The story behind Ecdysterone
Ecdysterone — also known as 20-hydroxyecdysone or β-ecdysone — is a naturally occurring compound classified as an ecdysteroid: a family of molecules found across a wide range of plants and in some arthropods, where they play a role in growth and development.
In trace amounts, it shows up in everyday foods like spinach and quinoa, but only a handful of plants concentrate it enough for meaningful extraction.
